Valorant Spike Timer

Official Privacy & Data Policy

Status: Active Last Updated: June 1, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how the Valorant Spike Timer Chrome Extension ("we", "our", or "the extension") handles user information. We are committed to maintaining the highest standard of data privacy and security for all eSports fans and viewers.

2. Absolute Data Privacy

Valorant Spike Timer collects, stores, and transmits zero user data. We do not log, track, or share any personal identity information, browsing history, device metrics, or stream contents. Your privacy remains 100% untouched.

3. Offline-First Architecture

The visual analysis and spike detection features are built with an entirely local, client-side neural network framework:

  • Local GPU Processing: Frame analysis and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) inferences run inside your web browser locally via WebGL/CPU GPU acceleration.
  • No Server Interactions: Absolutely no image frames, pixels, or screen regions are sent to external servers or APIs. All detection computations execute exclusively inside the memory sandbox of your device.
  • Local Settings Storage: Your custom overlay preferences (position placement, layout sizing, auto-detection toggle states) are stored locally in your browser sync storage (`chrome.storage.sync`) solely to persist settings across sessions.

4. Minimal Browser Permissions

We declare and use only the absolute minimum permissions required to bring you stream widget functionalities:

  • `storage`: Required to save your customized popup setting choices.
  • `tabs`: Required for the background service worker to check if you are visiting supported stream URLs (YouTube/Twitch) to dynamically turn your toolbar badge icon ON or OFF. No general history is recorded.

5. Compliance & Trust

We strictly certify that:

  • No information is ever sold to third parties or advertising brokers.
  • No data is used for lending, financial scoring, or creditworthiness evaluation.
  • We host absolutely no third-party tracking scripts, cookies, or remote analytics.

6. Contact & Support

If you have any questions, feedback, or need help with the extension, feel free to open a ticket or contact us via our official support channels on GitHub.
